Capstone

AHHH!!! Okay so Capstone permission slip signed. Now all I need is to find songs that fit my theme that is going to take 45-60 minutes. Rent the church, find people to sing with me, sing for me. Pick their songs. Find someone who will play piano. (I know of someone I just have to ask him!) Figure out everything else. See if there are going to be other instruments. (Like flute, cello, guitar!) you know. Pick an MC. (I have someone in mind!) Pick the date. (sometime in March!) Learn songs. Sing songs. Right an amazing write up, get people to come! Get good mark!! AHHHHHHH!!!!! (I can not believe I am graduating!) Oh so here is where I ask.... any of you want to help with a capstone? Say yes please say yes! Alyson wants YOU!

Sweet. (sarcastic)

So Henry and Laura's wedding went well, but I had a sore throat before it. I ignored it until after the wedding. And today I looked in my mouth at my throat, and thought I should show my mom. So... I did, and guess what! I am starting school off with tonsilities!! AGAIN!! But with care and tenderness, I will be able to start school on Tuesday/ Wednesday. But what a way to start. That is why it is so Sweet! (cough cough!) More wedding stories later, i am going to go and gargle with salt water. YES! (rolling my eyes!)

It's Finished!

Well, camps are over! And suddenly I feel a little empty. I have three days left at the office, and then a really busy two days, due to Henry and Laura's wedding, but I dont want camp to end. Yesterday I was happy to leave, just because this was a hard week and I was so tired. But then I got into the car and ten minutes later I had tears streaming down my face. Kinda suprised me but then I realised that all of my hard work and planning paid off, and it was done. AHH it was done! I can not believe it. Only a few minor mishaps, nothing horrible. (like mixing a bus schedule!, but that got fixed) And a rainy day. I feel proud of myself, and so happy that I had the staff that I did. It was great. I am going to miss working with my staff, they are awesome and fantastic. But in one week I go back to school and back to normal. (Well as normal as things can go!) I am also going through camper withdrawl. I totally miss some of the campers. Oh to see them again. It was great. Oh I love camp. LOVE IT!!

It is I the tired coordinator

So first of all yesterday Quinn paid off his dept to me. (taking me and Nessa out for dinner and a movie.) it was great we went to the Keg, YUMMY STEAK! and then to see a movie. Now we were going to see a chick flick or a cartoon. But because Quinn had invited friends to come, and really wanted to see Pirates 2. We let him. So it was an okay movie. Kinda long, some parts kinda dumb. Like hello there are not enough "normal" stinky pirates, they have to great sea ones. (Hammer head shark man!) But anyway, next time I go see it, I probably will not be as quiet during the movie. (funny fact, since I am me, I was sitting beside a guy, and we got to talking. wait I got to talking, and I told him to come to concordia for school when he was done Highschool. (yes I am silly that way) anyway he was like Iwas thinking about it. Nessa asked him what school he went to, and he said St. Mathews in Stony Plain. That was when I was the only calvinist sitting between a lot of Lutherans. Oh well, his paster is Paster Nye! and get this, he is going to come to Concordia when he is done. ha ha) Anway back on track... so yeah last night I went out and had fun. But I should talk about my camps

So after a wonderful month of planning and orginizing what I would like to call the PSA camps of grand adventure and fun. (ha ha I just made that up!) We started on July the 4th. I now have two weeks under my belt and things are going smoothly.

The first week we had teens, and they are the best kids ever. We went to Allan beach, (not as wheelchair accesible as one would think) and the Movies. We also went to the street performers and met the mayor of edmonton. It was a sweet week. Totally fun and great. The teens loved it and they made some sweet stepping stones and t-shirts.

The next week was just this past week. We did so many different things with our 8-13 year olds. But I have to say, that age group= sassy! Anyway so on tuesday we went to the street performers and then on Wednesday we went to Global television. That was pretty awesome. We got our picture taken with Mike Sobel! Thursday we went to the Edmonton Journal, Saw them making the driving section of Fridays paper. And then went to go see Ice Age 2. ha ha its funny, but I do have to say, I saw the back of my eyelids for some of it. On Friday we had a party. Now this was fun because some one brought a cupcake cake. (from the top it looks like a cake) anyway there was so much icing left over. Well my co worker Jared desided that he was going to put it to his face and pretend to lick it up. (the left over icing!) Anyway I was standing right beside him so what do I do.. Smash it in his face. It was great he had a lot of icing on him.. but then he took what was left (cause there was some..) and gave me a facial with icing. Oh so much fun. The kids could not stop laughing, and I smelt like icing. *I did go out and buy a new shirt before going to Nessas and Quinns* It was a great time.

Next week we have 5-8 year olds and I am so excited for that, cause it is just little guys. Then after that I am gone for a week to camp. (right now it is just day camps!) I am also excited about over night camp. it is always so much fun! I will have to write again when those camps are done, cause I will be bound to have stories.

YES FOR CAMPS! I love them!

Going on with Life

I have to say this. So many people have asked how I was, and I have answered that I am fine. But define fine. I think I have been working myself silly. No working myself to distraction. I have to say that my friends have been awesome, phoning just to see how I am doing, or to do something. I really appreciate that.

But today, wow today was a hard one. Sitting in church. Then it hit me. But not in the way that I would have thought. I kept thinking how they were doing. Kept praying that they were okay. That the sun is starting to come up for them. That they could handle all of the glances and the sad faces. The questions, and what answers to give. No I am not mad at them. No it was no ones fault, it just did not work. Yes I am doing okay.

I think my biggest comfort right now is that God is on my side. That he loves me and everyone else involved. He is my biggest comfort. I know we can do this, and that one day the sun will shine for both of us. And it is my deepest and most heartfelt prayer that he is okay, and that God wraps His arms around him and gives him all the comfort he needs. And that he goes on with life, because it will get easier, God will see to that, he never sticks anything on our plates that we can not handle. (he taught me that) I will be praying.

I'm Sorry

I’m Sorry

I’m sorry for the pain I’ve caused

I’m sorry for the hurt.

I’m sorry for the love I’ve lost

I’m sorry for the hurt.

I did not want it to end like this

I did not want those tears

I did not want the pain inside

I did not want the fears.

I’m sorry for the pain I’ve caused

I’m sorry for the hurt

I’m sorry for the love I’ve lost.

I’m so sorry that it hurts.

Strange that it happened now

So all day I have been kinda quiet, I think it is because I had a headache and I am not feeling so good.so Work was interesting. But I could not place the not feeling so good thing. But away I went.

Then at work tonight (with my boys) we started to have a God discussion. I think it started with " I dont believe that everything in the bible is right." Well what am I going to say to that. A ten year old telling me what that the truth is not the truth.... Hmmm! Anyway so we started talking, and then about Adam and Eve, and how they were never born so how did they become alive. Oh and well there where Dinos, and then people. Yep thats right. But wait then came this question...."Who created God" (Wait, slow down, where are these questions coming from? coming out of a ten year olds mouth, what should you say to that!) What an interesting discussion we had. It was strange, but I hope I answered right. He is getting caught up in all of the hupla right now. (book of Judas, the movies ect) But then we went to go see Over the Hedge and thats funny. You should go and watch it.

So I get home, start reading my emails, and almost burst out into tears. Y.... I think I am people sick.. (not sick of people, just missing them) I have been so busy that I have barely seen anyone. A littl here and there, but not a lot. I miss people!!!! Ahh what am I going to do when I leave. But maybe I will be more busy and then I will not notice... I dont know! This is wierd, and I am finding it strange that it happened now. But this is weird, cause I mean yesterday I was miserable cause I did not see Tim, (more cause he did not show up to church and I did not know why, until I phoned him, and then I was just miserable cause he was sick and I could do nothing!!!) I dont know how Scott and Michelle do it all summer!! And everyone else in long distance relationships. I dont get it!

Sorry about the ranting and raving. I miss you all so much!! I miss giggling with Amanda, singing ONe way in the hall with Beth, sitting in the office with Scott, religion class with Michelle and Quinn, singing with Leah, Laughing and being wtih Nessa, bugging Rea and Ellen, being crazy and acting with Allison and Talia.... Making fun of Muffin, well you get the picture..... I miss you guys tons.... Drop me a line, write me a note!

Praying for you all! Love ya

One would think

One would think that it being summer, I would post more... well WRONG! I have less time now then before. In fact I am writing now instead of watching the hockey game. ( GO OILERS!!) although I think Tim is thinking, Alyson you dont even like hockey that much! But you know when we are playing in western finals. I like hockey. But just in case GO ESKS GO!! ( getting ready what can I say)
Anyway Tomorrow is Sunny the 2s (only because I am older) wedding. I can not believe that tomorrow she and Steve will tie the knot! SO EXCITED!!!! Tonight the "boyz" are staying over, so a really nervous Steve. ( I predict) His two groomsmen and Isaiah and his brother. Now I have not seen Isaiah since Thanksgiving and I am looking forward to it. As I write this they are at rehersal, but that is okay. I am saddened a little that Tim is sleeping today, and working tonight, because it would have been fun for him and Isaiah to meet. (but they will tomorrow) And besides that is its crazy I know I even saw Tim yesterday, but I misses him!! But I should not complain because I saw him alot this week, and i have friends that do not see their signifs almost the whole summer. I dont know how they do it!!!
Hmm so I am working with my dad till the end of may. I like that, means I get a tan and some muscles. Thats right muscles. I even picked up a freezer today. (by my self, and no it was not a tiny little one!)
I can not wait till June when I start my other job, in fact i am so excited for that! Although I find that I am so busy I have not had time to really miss some of my friends. Oh dont get me wrong I do miss most of you, especially the ones that I will not see again for a while, but I am so busy that I dont really have time to think about it.
I am in desperate need of letters. In fact last year I had so many already, but this year have there been any in my wonderful mail box.... NO! Sniffles sniffles. But I think that I will just have to write some people letters first. and then and then I will get letters. BUt I like them they are fun, and they make me smile.
I have really nothing else to say. Have a great time!

oh Pray for Alison and Steve and their wedding, and also everyone involved, weddings are a big deal and a lot of work.

Are you ready for NESSA!!!

So, Where did I meet Nessa? Well I met her last year at Suessical. (no I have not stopped singing the songs) But I never really talked to her. I actually talked to Quinn more. But alas, school started this year, and we where in prayer group together. And then our friendship flurished! Nessa and I have done some crazy things this year! Like: Getting lost going to my Aunts house from the video store, (we did not want to take the main road!) Also... OH reading books in the car while waiting for Quinn, Yelling Stella in the Medi center while we waited cause I sprained my foot. (I am still deformed!) Going to Hockey games, Travel bug in Save on Foods, and clearly just having fun with Tim and Quinn! Oh and things like picking names out of books for her baby! (archibald!)
I look up to Vanessa, and always will... well actually we are about eye level. Anyway she is an amazing Child of Christ, and is totally an inspiration for all of those around! She makes me smile, and has a caring and compassionate heart! I can not wait till she becomes a mom, cause she is going to make the best one! I Love ya Nessa!!

Eric

Okay from now on.... Eric is Muffin!
Well what to say about Eric, I dont really remember when we started to become friends, I think it was when I met Scott. But I did meet him before. He was my dad in a play..How does this work seeing as how I am older? well I dont know, but Natasha wanted him as the dad! So he was, and we played! I actually thought his name was Chris for a while, until I was told different, and then we started Muffin. (who started it anyway, Muff? I forget!) But alas, Muffin and I have shared some laughs, and some good talks. It so happens that we where on the same mission team, and it is because of me that Muff loves "With Jesus in my Boat!" so much!!! (actually he hates it, but you know) we really got to know eachother then and i am so glad that we where put on the same team. I think God had something to do with it! Anyway, although I have not seen alot of Muffin this term, last one was a different story. Oh good old Horton and her wonderful ways. (cough cough gag gag!) Muffin, you are an increadable guy! You have amazing talents, and you are so much fun to hang around. You are an ear when someone needs to talk, and you can make people laugh when they need too! I am honoured to know you as a friend, and I will cherish our friendship! You have a way about you that is kind and caring, and I dont think you could intentionally hurt a flea. (well maybe a flea, but not a huge giant beetle, well maybe a beetle, but not a pretty butterfly!) Anyway you have showed Patience where really others would flip, and love when every thing seemed wrong! Thanks for making this year a special one. Peace out!
qoute of the day...(I dont have one, but I am sure muffin does!)

Regan its your turn

Rea,
what to say about Regan...............
Okay i am done thinking, My first memory of Regan is, crum I dont even remember how we met Rea, do you? I think maybe it was through Scott or something..My favorite memory of Regan is sitting in her bedroom, just talking, about anything and everything. I liked that, and when Regan sung me songs, oh and the song she wrote for me! Yes I love my song!!!! In fact now that I think about it, I have it in my head... "Its not me that your thinking of..." Anyway now that I have sung that I will move on. Regan is a friend that is always there for you. Even if you dont talk to her for a long time. (gag on the not talking) She will always be there if you need a friend. And I mean isnt that the most awesome thing ever! Regan is also very strong in what she believes and if she disagrees she will tell you! I will also remember Regan on the mission trip, telling me I needed a new verse! And gave me one. (I have it highlighted in my bible, but I forget what text it is at the moment. I will post it later! ) I thnk she was sick of Philippians 4:4. I will never forget seeing her when she came back from Bella Bella the first time. Oh man, she let that light shine bright there, and I think everyone of those kids that she touched changed! She is an amazing girl, and is a riot to have around. I will miss her SO much! Besides if it were not for her, I would not know who would marry me in my school. (in case Tim does not work out...dont worry no sign of that happening!)
Love ya Rea! Keep the light shinning!

Lets do another one:Scott

Scott,
Who is Scott? Besides the worms in dirt man of eating? Well, Scott is strange, crazy, and a ton of fun! Who would have thought by the picture? I met Scott one day, I think Amber introduced us, I am not sure, all I know as we started to become friends. (not close yet, just friends) And he told me of his love for Sponge bob!? Anyway.... Moving on, so Scott and I got to know each other, and it was not long before his and matt's room in dorm was the place to hang out! Well, I was OFTEN there (my "room") and Scott and I started to get to know each other quite well. Now, well now he is one of my best guy friends and we often feed off each other to do crazy crazy things. Like you know I could one day be like," hey Scott lets go and jump in the puddles, and then he would be like, okay lets do that, so we would go jump in puddles and then i would push him, he would fall.... and we would laugh!" (this is often how our (my) planning would go, and I would talk out this whole senario, and would add we would laugh. and then we would go and do it!)
On top of being crazy, Scott has always let his light shine. My favorite part of our friendship is the talks we have about God, and our faithlife, and what God has done for us!" He once told me, and I agree, that I friendship that is based on God, is a friendship that will last forever! I like that!
So Scott, thanks for the memories! I cant wait till we crash each others weddings (when we finally get married, after we grow up...) and then we would laugh!
Be Gods!

All about Leah

everyone else your time will come!)
This post is about Leah

So I have known Leah for two years. But we never really got to know each other till the winter last year, when Neal said, "Alyson there is this girl who is as bored as you are... you should email her" so I did. And so a beautiful friendship began.

I think we drove Muffin mad after that with our NARF and well just being ourselves. We each had a "room" in guys dorm

What else can I say about Leah? Well a lot, but some of it, I can not tell you because it is just Alyson and Leah stuff. But I do have to say, that we have had some pretty fantastic talks.

Leah inspires me to do things that I never thought I could do. She wears her heart and her faith on her sleeve and is willing to share that with anyone. She cares about EVERYONE! and is a blessing to have in our lives.

I will never forget listening to her songs, and in fact... I might go listen to one now! And just talking about things.

Leah you are an amazing child of God and I thank him daily that He has placed you in my life!

oh and leah writes stories......(or so she says. :p)

Neal Continued

So I was at work, and I thought there were something about Neal that I forgot to add. Important things, wonderful things that needed to be said. Neal inspires me. I have been a Christian my whole life, but Neal has not, and he lets his light shine. He does it in a different way then some would, but oh boy does it shine bright! And people can identify with him, because when you see him, you dont think holy christian boy.. nope you dont, But then when you get to talking to him, it is there. He has this way. Another thing that touches me is that he really doesn't hate kids. ( I dont believe him when he says he does, I still think he loves them) And a story that I love is one when he was working with a kid with a disability. And my heart just filled with love. YEah Neal!!

okay continuation done. HOmework to do. more posts later.

Neal

Okay Folks, well I promised Neal I would write a whole post on him. (because he is going to do one on me!) And then I decided that it would be cool to do a post on all my friends. Although this may take some time, and it will probably go into the summer. And I might forget some people. (I probably will, i have lots of friends.) I am going to try. But I am starting with Neal because I am. So here it is folks all about Neal!

Neal
When I first met Neal I was a little taken back, I mean what do you say to a guy who has an interesting hair colour is wearing bright orange pants and has a ton of piercings? Well, because I was not used to it, but thought meh, he is bound to be fun. I dove right in. And a beautiful friendship began. Over last year Neal and I have shared some interesting memories. Including *spoons* and waking me up in weird and interesting ways. I took frequent naps last year in dorm. Neal has opened my eyes that beauty is in everyone, and that he is an amazing person! Did you know he is tons of fun to hang out with, and has a heart of gold. Oh Darn Neal I am breaking your cool calm shell. Neal makes me laugh in so many ways, and I have never been the same since I met him. One of my favorite memories of Neal is "jumping him" last year after christmas I was so excited to see him. And just hanging out with him. I am saddened that I never see him this year, and I feel that every time I am in guys dorm he is sleeping anyway. Another thing about Neal... he sleeps....A LOT! It makes me smile, Oh and the day that we had formal day at school (why because the boys decided) Neal looked well very good! (but sorry, not as good as Tim!) Anyway moving on.... Neal, I have some fun memories of you even this year. Trying to twirl me in the choir loft...(cough cough) And my birthday hug. (Need I say more!) But that my friends is Neal. Now I dedicate the comments to your memories of Neal... Because like I said this post is about him. Well and you can tell me if you really want me to write about you, or if you really dont want me to write about you. But MOSTLY write about Neal!
I heart you Neal!! And will miss you when I am gone!

April

Its April!! Good things happen in April.... like my birthday, and Tims birthday and the end of school! YEAH

Good Bye

I can not believe that school is almost over! I am really getting ready for it to be done, but this is my last year at Concordia! I dont want to say good bye but I have to! But I know I must move on. I have posted an article I wrote for the Blue and White! (I dont know if it got in, but meh!) I hope you enjoy it, and please continue to pray for all the students during this time!

“Good bye’s the saddest word I’ll ever hear”. Another year is coming to a close, students are rushing to finish that last paper, finish that final project, or study for that brutal final that will be there before they know it. Yet, something else sneaks up, good byes. Soon the halls of Concordia will be empty and Tegler will no longer be filled with the common chatter we hear each day. Some welcome this time with open arms, and others, well others can’t believe that it is over. This is my last year at Concordia; I am moving on and can not believe that it is over. I have so many fond memories of this school, every hall way and many class rooms hold special memories for me. I will never forget karaoke in Tegler, so loud that even if you wanted class you couldn’t, mission trips and all the bonds mad from them. I will never forget “visiting” various offices just to say hi, and have people come to just say hi to me. I will always remember discussions with certain Profs, and striving to do my best. But most importantly I will always have a special place in my heart for the relationships that were formed here. People have come into my life and have changed it. I have grown in so many different ways, and when I leave Concordia, a little bit of my self is staying behind. But I must go and start the next page in my life. Good bye Concordia, God bless, I will miss you!

My very first Hymn

So, I just finished writing my hymn. And I must say it is very nice. But alas I did not write the notes, We did not have to, and will not get a lower mark if we dont, so I did not. (because i did nto want to go that crazy!) But it is worded, and I am proud. I would like to say the tune is from the song At the Name of Jesus, and the text is 2 Timothy 2:11-13 (and even better, Tim picked the text!) And now I will let you in on the words! I hope its good enough for that A!

Faithful, by Alyson Bosch
tune: At the Name of Jesus
If we should die with God, we will also live
if we always press on, His kingdom He'll give.
But if we turn our back, and push Him away
He will never leave us, He will always stay.

Yeah that is my hymn! It did not need to be super long, it just needed to work, and I think it did, I hope it did! (I dont want to transfer the notes of a different song onto manuscript paper again)
Peace!

Moving forward

So... today, I applied for Rez in Winnepeg! I am so scared!! Tim was over when I did it, and I was like I dont want to do this but I have to. And I did. Now I just have to sit back and wait. But I did find out that I can send a tape of singing over to Winnepeg and write my theory exam later! That makes me happy! But now it looks like I will be leaving on the 4th of September. (Sniffle) Pray for me please!

Auditions

Well this is it... By June 13th and 14 I have to have two contrasting songs ready and I need to study up on my theory! Because that is when i have to audition in Winnepeg.... SO NERVOUS! But I can do it, and then on to my dream of becoming a Music Therapist! YES! (who wants to come with me?)

This SUCKS

So I have had some crappy things happen to me over the year but this beats it all. Thursday I was feeling really gross at school, and thought it lack of sleep and a cold. But alas, when I woke up Friday morning, I could not talk and could barely move, so I decided to stay home. When my mom came to check on me, she told me that it sounded as if I had marbles in my mouth. So she looked into my wonderful mouth and there found the cause. (no I did not put marbles in there!) but alas I have tonsillitis! Thats right I have tonsillitis, and now I can not go and do anything. It went from bad to worse because I found out I can not leave the house till probably Sunday. (if i am better) and my fantastic day of going to see The Importance of Being Earnest, having a BBQ, and going to the Rock concert with Tim, Alison, and Fiona is dead! Its gone. Now I have been looking forward to this day FOREVER, and yet maybe I was not supposed to go. And another thing is, I can not practise singing! So... I have lessons on Monday and I have not been able to practise. It sucks it sucks it sucks!! (sorry I am ranting) and it hurts. But I know I will get better, and I am just thankful it happened this week and not in two weeks right before my show. Sigh

Hey its March!!

Its March and so many things have happened since I last posted... And you know now that I think about it, tomorrow is my one month!! (giggle!) So lets start from the beginning.... Febuary 4th I went to the opera with a most wonderful person! Anyway after that, I then went to west ed, kareoke and then Guys and Dolls with the same said wonderful person. ( I should fill you in... this wonderful person is a boy!) After that, we said good bye while I went off to Hawaii for a week. (sniff, I missed him so!!) I had a wonderful time in Hawaii and when I have pictures I will put them up here and will tell you of my trip. Although it is better to tell you in person! But then I got home, and I got to see my friends and (you guessed it) that wonderful person. Where we went public! (well we had already went public, but... choir, old ladies, gossip you know the story!) And so tomorrow is one month from the day we went out! If you have not picked up on this, I, Alyson am no longer a single girl! There is a wonderful boy in my life and I could not be happier, and I thank God for him everyday!

The Joys of A Waiting Room

So yesterday I decided to try stair diving. Well it did not end gracefully. Nope in fact it ended painfully! But I have some nice friends and they sat me down, but then I almost fainted and threw up. Gross!!!! Anyway my wonderful friend Nessa took me to the Medi center were we waited not one, not two but three hours. Oh wow it was boring and she and I were starting to go nuts, crazy , insane. We looked at each others wallets, and we diagnosed me, and we pulled a little "street car named desire" (giggle) and then we made a bed out of chairs. Well, the doctor looked at it, told me that if I wanted my sheet signed and a doctors note, all together it would cost $160 (150 for the sheet signing thing and 10 for the note) I said nope, and then she told me I needed xrays, so we went there, and then I got my xrays.. (the technision asked if I was drunk when I fell down the stairs, I said no, I had just finished a physics exam, and he was like well maybe you should go and get drunk now... giggle) anyway so then we went back to the doctors. Both of us limping, (Nessa had a sympathy limp) And found out I just sprained my ankle. But wait that is not all the doctor also said "this bone is normally supposed to be closer to this bone, but I guess you were born like that!" (YES I AM DEFORMED!!!) Anyway it has felt better today, but I think that is because I listened to the doctor and stayed off of it almost all day, but it still hurts. Although I dont have as big as a limp today. YES!!!

On The Town

What do you get when you put 15 people together, 10 of them drama kids? A night one the town!!
Okay there was a really lousy pun but it was fun! So yesterday I had plans to go home and do homework without distraction... :) But alas, my friends told me I needed to go and see this play. I relented, thats right I did, it did not take very long (only about two hours) and I had a great time! We went to my friend Allisons house(thats right Allison!) first for appetizers and desserts, and oh the fun we had there. Let me just tell you, that if you want a good laugh you should take us drama people anywhere. I was privlaged to answer Allisons phone and buzz people into her apartment. There was a phone call that was not buzzing worthy, and I was like" hello this is Alyson... " the guy then responded "Are you sure this is Allison, you sound different" and then the rest of the convo went like this...
" Yes I am quite sure, in fact its what my mom has called me my whole life.."
"wierd, anyway.... is (allisons roomate) there"
"I dont know, I dont think so, can I give a message" (thats right GIVE)
"No thats okay, hey Allison do you know if....?"
"Oh maybe I should confess, I am ALYSON, not Allison, don't you think its wierd that you are talking to an ALYSON, when its ALLISONS house/"
"HUH!!!!!!!"
"I dont belong here, I am a friend of the other Allison... the one who lives here"
"Oh yeah thats wierd...dramatic pause can I talk to that Allison"
"Oh of course, why didnt you say so! have a nice night.."
And the conversation is over. it was fantastic.
So then after that convo, we just had some very funny laughs, because let me tell you when you have drama students out number the non drama students (okay I lied when you put a drama student anywhere) things can get a little (or a lot) crazy!!
From Allisons house we went to go see the play "On The Town!" So funny!!! So Good!!! And I could totally see our school do it. One of the girls in our group made it a goal for us each to make a friend and tell them about our plays. so I did, I made two... They must have known we were drama kids by the way we were acting. (although during the play we all behaved dont worry!) But during intermission and then when it was over we did mention "the Importance of Being Earnest" and "Cherry Coke" that concordia was doing.. and that "Cherry Coke was written by Concordia sudents, and if people wanted to go and see a wonderful play just like this one they should go to Concordia on this and this day.... Giggle it was so fun!! And the ushers were like you must be drama kids cause I feel his energy... that really only Dram people have. (its true we do give off this energy, I know when drama people are coming to see OUR shows.) Anyway so that was a great night!! It was fun, and tonight is bound to be grand also.... Opera here I come!!

ps. Everyone should come to see "Importance of Being Earnest" and Concordias big huge band concert (two famous christain bands, and then two school based bands) on March 11th... Tickets on sale soon, if you want more info.. talk to me!!!! Oh and CHerry COke is March 30, 31 and April 1st... and you HAVE to come to that one, cause I AM IN IT!!!!!!

He will be there

Taking it one step at a time
Not knowing where it will take you.
Holding on tight
To scared to let go.

He guides your steps
and leads you to the waters.
He holds your hand
and leads you into safety.

Don't want to make a mistake
But know its going to happen.
Don't want to seem wrong
But know you are not always right

He will take your mistakes away
And you will be forgiven.
He will help you when you are wrong
And will show you the way.

You're scared to look ahead,
but the past has trapped you.
You want to carry on
But hold on to what you've known.

He will help you look ahead
And will always be your future.
He will lift you up,
And help you carry on.

The day I did not talk

Greetings everyone. Okay so my title says it all. Although... I am not done the day yet, but i am close to there, so I figure I can write this. You might be thinking.. The day Alyson did not talk?? WHA, but let me tell you it is true. And it started like this.

One lovely Monday afternoon (Jan. 9th to be exact) Alyson was sitting in Quinn's office. Now he said to her "Alyson, I dont think you can make 24 hours without talking. And if you do, then I will come to your church and not make fun of it." well Alyson did not like that..(I like refering to myself in third person) and said "I bet your wrong, but I dont want you to come to my church because you have to. I want you to come to my church when you want to. But if I win this silly thing, you will have to take me and your wife Vanessa out to dinner and a movie, of OUR choice!" So Quinn agreed and a date was set. That date was on Tuesday. Now that day did not work because Alyson had to go to work, so a new one was set. TODAY.

Well I have to say, although people tried to get me to talk, by just talking and talking and talking (MUFFIN!) I did not crack. Quinn even tried to tickle me but alas, I did not give in! I went home at 12:30 though. I know I could have stayed longer but I wanted to get out before i made a mistake. At home I had no problem, although at supper we had tacos, and I had my own little bowls of stuff so i did not have to ask for anything. And if I needed anything, I would put my hand up and then motion what I needed.

I have been able to write notes all day, and I feel that if I would not have been able to do that, i would not have made it. But alas I could write notes and that saved me alot of head ache.

I have to tell you though, it has been interesting. i have been able to hear what other people have been saying, and just listening. I think that was cool. And I have been able to relate to how people who can not talk feel. Sometimes they get frusterated, and now I know why. And I also know what it sounds like when the person talking to you is having a one way conversation.

The hardest thing has been that I could not tell my family I love them. We have had to deal with some emotional stuff over the past two days, and it makes me realize how important family is. And it was so hard not being able to say good bye have a good day, I love you. Or I love you. Or even an it will be okay. That has been the hardest. Wanting to talk but not being able to at those situations.

But they know how I feel, and I know how they feel.
Have a great one! And maybe one day, see if you can last 24 hours without talking.

New Years is Over

Wow, another year over! And what an exciting year it has been. Miranda and Tom got married, as did Mike and Trish. Jess and Jer got engaged, and Henry has a girlfriend. (Okay I know none of this really involves me, but if you think about it, it does. But I have:
1)Finished my third year of school, and started my fourth. (getting good grades)
2) become the advocate for people with disabilities in my school
3) I have figured out (sorta) what I am doing this year in September
4)I have grown spiritually, mentally and emotionally
5)I have made new friends, and had fun with old ones
And so many other wonderful things.

New years is also a time for resolutions. I hate resolutions, but only because people make them and then break them. And really how serious are they? Okay for some people they can be serious. But I dont know.

My New years, I just like to think, "if I were gone tomorrow, would others see me for who I really was, or someone I am not? and Did I live my life the way God wanted me too?"

I see this new year as a gift from God. I mean there are going to be so many things that happen this year, to me to you, and to everyone around. And how are we going to use it? Are we going to waste the year away? Or are we, am I, going to give glory to God in what I do this year.

I thank Him that I have this year, it could last until December, but it could not! And what I want to do this year, it to live it as if it was my last. To love, to hope, to pray, to sing, and most importantly to PRAISE the Lord!

Thank you Father for what you have given me, another year to celebrate you in!

Whats Going on

Where am I?
Am I loosing myself?
Am I really me?
People dont know what is going on anymore
I do not see those I really love.
Is it something I said?
Or something I did?
Why are we drifting apart?
Its tearing at my heart!
I just want to see your smile
to hear you laugh
To hold you when your sad.
I dont want, "I forgots"
Or "I already said"
Maybe I am holding on to the past
maybe I have to let it go.
But I dont want to do that
I dont want to go there
I just want you here
beside me again!

Another Christmas Over

Well, one Christmas dinner down and one to go! I can not believe that Christmas is over already and next week at this time it will be January 2 2006! Where does the time go? Christmas was wierd this year. I mean church and stuff made it seem like Christmas, although we did not sing Er-re Zig God (dutch song, old Tradition) AGAIN! I feel we are loosing our roots sometimes and where we all came from. But that is a whole new post and right now I dont want to get into it. But after Church in the afternoon, i went to sleep and did not wake up till 7:00pm and then ate some left over ham and cheese and stuff, then went and worked on stuff for my parents anniversary. I would love to tell you what it is, but I can not because because they do not know yet. Bwah ha ha!

So yeah, it was wierd yesterday, but today I am looking forward to seeing all of my cousins and hanging out with them. And then tomorrow I get to hang with my parents. I just wish that this feeling of I dont know sadness, or some other inexplainable feeling would go away so I could enjoy myself more. But I know that I will.

But anyway Have a wonderful rest of the week! Enjoy life and smile, remembering that it is because of God that you will be blessed with a new year!

I should be making Banana bread

Hello wonderful people that read my blog! An almost merry christmas to you! did you know that I have been bloging for like a year and a half now. How fun is that. And completly irrelivent to anything. Anyway.. School is over for the semester!!! I am so happy I could cry. And you know, as much as I love my friends, I really dont think that I will miss them as much as I did last year during the break. Call me crazy, but I really dont think i will. I think I can say that because I know that I will be seeing Leah sometime... I better, I can't see LWW without her. (lion witch and wardrobe) and if she has seen it already, I will cry! (I really will!) Anyway.
I am now only working one job, the one with my boys. I was working another one, but due to some things I am no longer there. (I will tell you if you want to know, but probably on a personal level) Anyway I am happy about that.
On Thursday I went to my boy's christmas concert. (I say my boy cause I work with him Alot!) we will call him K! Anyway K made me so proud, and i am not even his mother. YES!
I work with K all next week, and then when he is on holidays, i get to work with someone I have nto worked with in a long time. But still have my evenings off. Hint hint to those that want to hang!
Yesterday i went to the Messiah with my family! WOW! I was blown away. okay so I have heard good singing before, but really this was fantastic. And the coolest thing was I did nto move. My mom was bugging me because normally i fidget. I do, its true if you knwo me you would agree. Anyway I did not move until intermission, and then again until we had to stand for the Halleluiah chorus. It was so awesome. And I saw some of my friends that was awesome too.

But I should be making banana bread because mom asked me too. Have a great wonderful night

The pre Christmas Dinner

So I never actually posted one of the best days/nights that I have had in a long time. The wonderful day happened on the 26th of November. Well actually it started on the 25th. So Friday I go to my singing class, and then swimming I go. Only it was bring your parents to the pool so Scott and Kels brought mom and dad Gamble, and Charlotte brought Mom Mackin. It was glorious fun. After some serious basket ball, Scott and i went into the steam room, where we were given the treat of listening to like 5 diggaridoes in the steam room. They say the sound comes better with the steam. Anyway it was awesome.

So Sat. Comes around and well we have 14 people over for dinner. Now this was a wonderful dinner because the students of concordia made it, with mom and dad Gamble. First we all split off in teams, ( i was team desert with Lauren and Chris) and then we went shopping. Well after that it was making our food. Giggle Chris and Lauren can sure fork chocolate cake. (we made an all chocolate triffle! YUMMY) So then we went and made fancy decorations down stairs. But first I had to fight off Eric cause he was trying to steal our triffle.(see above picture!) Its true he was, and before the picture I was winning, and I would like to say, I did end up winning anyway! It was grand.

After that I went to go see Filumena the Opera!! OH SO GOOD! I was just captivated and sat on the edge of my seat during the first act. I had tears running down my face and i was just amazed. It was brillant, and I can not wait till the next opera comes in Febuary. Yeah!! So that was my wonderful days of days. And I will have to write about my week, because monday is Micheal W Smith, Tuesday is Caroling and hot chocolate at the presidents, and Wednesday is roller skating! YEAH!!! and then friday exams start. AHHH.

Anyway Have fun!

Smile

Have a great day

my life as we know it

So I have not written in a long time. Well thats fun! So I thought I would write so that you all know what is going on with my life at this wonderful moment. Yesterday was Developmental Disabilities awarement day. (basicly making people aware of different disabilities.) I celebrated!

So what has been going on in my life. Well I have been really busy because I have exams soon and papers to finish. (in fact i am supposed to be writing one right now, but I am taking a break.) I am doing really well in all of my classes and hopefully my exams dont make it seem as if i am doing bad. :) They will not. Speaking of exams... I have my drama final on monday. Now normally I would be all excited about this, but this time I am not really. I am just praying that it will work. I know that there has been some hard work put into it and for that I am forever thankful, but this has been the hardest group project I have ever done. Now dont get me wrong I love most of my fellow actors, and feel as if they are doing a wonderful job. ( you know who you are) There are just some that are not doing what they should be doing, and it is ruining the group dynamic. But you know sometimes that happens so we will just have to deal with it.

Yesterday I spent the evening with my best friend. I loved it, we went out for dinner to Red Robbins (YUMMY) and then went to go see a movie. AeonFLUX. It was so good. I enjoyed most of it, but there is one gross part with lots of blood and I dont like that, but Shley saved me, and told me when I could look again. It was kinda gross, she said my face just went white. Giggle I love me and blood. So then after that we went to Death by Chocolate. Oh boy did I almost die! It took us like 15 minutes to deside what we were going to eat. And when we finally did, WOW! I think I have to take Laura there one day... Or anyone else who wanted to come. Shley and I said that if ever, the Lord willing, we get married, we will have our bridal party there. (or take our bridesmaid there) And we both decided that it would be the best place to take someone on a date. I mean what girl can resist having a boy buy chocolate for them. And the setting is quiet and wonderful for the first time dates. (And dont worry Matt, there are no salt and pepper shakers to knock over) Oh it was SOOOOO good. And the company wasn't bad either.in fact the company was wonderful and probably the best that I have had in a long time. No offence other wonderful friends, but she is my bestest friend in the world and I missed her!

Well now that that was over I went over to another friends house for their engagment party. While there I saw some people I have not seen for a long time. That was nice. So anyway here is a funny story and i now have the wonderful bruises to prove it. So there were streamers up, they were pretty high, I think around 6'6" because they went up to Robs nose, and he had 3 more inches to go. Anyway they were trying to kick them. Jeff could cause he is 6'4" but Katherine and I tried. Well Katherine missed, but then it was my turn. So I get ready and I Kick really high. Remember I am only 5'7" so that is a long way up. I did not think I could make it. Anyway so I do. (thank you thank you) But I think the only reason I hit it was because i was in the air. I forgot to mention, the streamers were in the kitchen, the kitchen floor is slippery, and I was wearing socks. So after doing my wonderful beautiful kick, I fly up into the air, and wait for it, no i do not fall on my butt, that would have been better. I fall on my side. Yes my side. Because I was doing a side kick. Oh it was so funny, but now, well now I have a bruise that is huge. I would love to show it off, but I will not cause it is in a place where I will not be showing anyone. (Upper thigh) Anyway It was funny, we all laughed, and they told me to stop drinking. Funny thing was, I hadn't had anything to drink since 9:00 and that was water. ( i think it was tiredness or something) But I told them i was thankful I was not getting married cause then they would all remember it for my wedding and tell the story. AHH!

So now today i am sitting at home doing papers, I might attempt to clean my room, and help my mom unpack grocieries when she comes home. And then do stuff with the church tonight. Then on monday i am going to Micheal W Smith!!!!!!!! YES! I am so excited. Well have a great day.

As of Now

Winter Formal

So right now I am supposed to be writing a paper that is due tomorrow. I really do not like my drama presentation, and I know that there are others that feel this way. Maybe we can fix it. And I have my mind on other things.

You would be proud of me friends, especially the ones that saw me yesterday, I went to bed at 9:00pm and did not wake up till 9:00 the next morning. I needed it though. And I did end up going to visit a friend who is in the hospital.

So they still do not know what is wrong with her. AAARRRRGGGG!! I wish I could be like, you have ............ (thats a blank) and be done with it. Yesterday Michelle told her she had hoof in mouth. Cause that is SO likely! (giggle it was to make her laugh and it did.) We did alot of God talk, it kinda made some people uncomfortable, but whatever they have to deal. Please pray for her, her family and the doctors into finding out what is going on. Just send up a request for Alysons friend, He will know who you are talking about.

On a different note, I can not believe school is going so well, fast. I almost want to have another week to get everything done. I hate this! But what can you do.

Oh winter formal was so much fun, and I love how everyone looked. well yeah its true. depends on where the picture is. That is me in Winter formal with my friend Kaylyn! we look fine. Anyway I should go and write my paper, get tickets for the opera, and try to like my drama final...

My Inner Child

Your Inner Child Is Happy

You see life as simple, and simple is a very good thing.
You're cheerful and upbeat, taking everything as it comes.
And you decide not to worry, even when things look bad.
You figure there's just so many great things to look forward to.

Cause everyone is doing it!

I took this from Alisons blog. Have fun I can not wait.

If you read this, if your eyes are passing over this right now, even if we don't speak often, please post a comment with a memory of you and me.
It can be anything you want, either good or bad. I promise not to come after you with a HIGH-HEELED SHOE(?????) either way.

its poem time

They have a friendship

A bond no one can break

She thinks of him as her best friend

And she is happy that he has found someone to love

She is so very happy

But deep inside her, she has fallen.

Not because of sadness

But because of uncertainness

She does not want to hurt again.

It happened once before

A long time ago

When things were going so well

So fun and so free,

And then the two became three.

And it faded,

It ended

Never to be the same again.

So here she is a second time

Praying it does not happen.

Knowing it probably will not

But still she is so very scared!

She doesn’t know how to act,

Whether she should step back and watch it happen

Of if she should carry on the same way.

She knows what way is the best way,

What way is the right way,

But she is scared of hurting

Scared of loosing this friendship

So she feels the need to step back

And not say anything

but that is the wrong way.

She thanks the Lord that he is happy

That he is able to love.

Maybe it is just her being selfish,

Not wanting to share,

Not wanting to be hung out to dry again.

She feels he will not change

But the question

Will he?

Still stays in her head.

If she has to let go she will

If she has to say goodbye she will

but then,

Who will hold her hand?

Who will hold her close?

Who will she go to when she has to talk?

When she has to pray.

She does not want to let go

She does not want to say goodbye.

She wants to say hello,

I need your hand and arms right now.

I need you thoughtful words

And I need the prayers to God.

She prays to God, for this friendship

And she leaves it in HIS care.

That day by day it strengthens

And she never has to fear.

Concordias play

WOW! Concordia does some good stuff! I just wanted to say, this week is the week of the Diviners, and I am so happy that I am part of the crew. In fact my name is even in the program yep thats right it totally is! And I love the other crew members, from our Rocken Stage Manager!and the assistant stage managers (woot woot!R+M+A I HEART YOU!) to our lights people (your hot!) to our amazing cast. If anyone has a free moment before Sat. come come and see this play. It is so good, and so sad, but so good! I do not want to give it away, but I do want to say that alot of the people that have come to this have walked away with tears in their eyes and saying it was an amazing and touching play. So come one come all!! If you want to come but dont know how to get there, come talk to me! I will let you know...

My monologue

I thought I would post my monologue up that I have to do either the 14tho or the 16th! I hope people can come and watch them... I will have to ask Caroline... Anyway so if you are in my class and you read this (JUSTIN) please dont tell the rest of the class. But anyway they will have to see how I act it out. Peace, ( I hope you have tissues!)

Phone Rings: “Hello, oh hello Dr. Jones, yes this is Amy, okay, are you sure, wow that um, okay, yes, are you sure? Positive? Okay thank you, bye Puts phone down and grabs picture of the two of them, not saying anything for like 10 seconds, brush a tear off face and sit down still holding the picture.

“Oh Jeremiah, that was the doctor, what am I going to do? I wish you were here right now. I can’t do this on my own!! Why did I make you go and pick up milk, why! You should have come right home, and then you could have been here with me, instead of, well instead of gone. It’s all my fault! I know it is, and I can’t do this, I can’t. I never thought that I would have to say good bye so soon. Yesterday I picked up the guitar Jeremiah, I did! And you would be proud of me I played a song….. It was good, well as good as can be expected. And yesterday I went through the photo albums. It’s hard to see your face baby, and know that I can not just reach out and touch it. It’s hard!! And Mom and dad invited me to the beach…Our beach; I went, but had to leave!! This is not right! I NEED YOU HERE! Especially now, how am I going to get through these next nine months, no these next 60 years without you. My comfort is that now, now I will have you with me always, and every time I look at our little one, I will remember. I love you baby, you would have made a great father!

A day in the life

So today I did not go to school until 4:00. It felt wonderful to sit at home and do some work, and then go to school and sing. It was good, got to hang with Scott before choir, and we hung up some posters. But after today I have realized that I can not speak english and I can not tape. I was almost cut from the poster hanging, but that would have been horrible and then Scott would have had to do it on his own. Although i am sure he could have gotten someone to help him... Nah! ( I would like to clarify, he was the one that asked me to help him hang them up!)

Anyway moving on with the day. So my teacher wants me to direct or choir. I have done it before but today I felt really inadiqute. It was sad, maybe it was because looking at some of the people I could tell they were only there because they were getting credit for it. That always makes me mad when they are only doing things like this for credit. Oh well! It is not my problem they do not want to be there.

I have been reading some of the other poems that people in my school write and put in the paper. Its true I have also had some poems in the school paper, but reading other peoples, I feel as if I can not write. I hate that feeling because I love to write, but then I read these and I am like, I can not write like that, so I get into a writing block. GRRRR!!

So last week some things that I put away on the shelf of Alyson came back to bite me in the butt. I hate that but I actually delt with them this time instead of putting them away. I am happy with the way school is turning out. I have been working hard and I feel that it is showing. i am working hard on things outside of credit stuff too. The other day the film festival stuff got mailed out, and now I have to do some stuff for it and chapel so that we can get that flying off the ground and the Concordia play is next week. Therefore I will be busy and not home from Tuesday night to Sat. Night!! i am so excited but know that I am going to burnt out. How fun is that!!!

Speaking of chapel, I wrote my little insperation thing for the 18th today. i know I should have been doing my speech for friday, but that is not working and I know I will have that done later. But I really am proud of my insperation thing. I only think I like it because it is about warm fuzzies. I told Muffin today that that is what it was on, and he just rolled his eyes. I think it is good, but I will probably change some of it later on, seeing as how I have a little bit of time yet. It will be good I am thinking and I am proud of it. When I type it out i will post it so that you can read it although I am probably wing most of it, but that is okay, you cna still be able to see the basis. I can not wait.

Anyway that is the day in the life of me. I hope that every other day is just as exciting and I will write a wonderful review of the Deviners sometime next week so that you can know how it is going or how it went. Anyway May your day be wonderful and in the words of Montiverdi, Live Happily!

Come to realize

So manythings have happened over the past two weeks. I have come to realize a few things. One that I needed to drop Bio, so I did, and now I feel that the stress is gone. Also that I really love Vivaldi, I knew I liked his stuff before but I really did not know how much until I had to listen to it for my listening quiz. "The Spring" is so wonderful and uplifting. I have also come to realize how much I miss my friends when I do not see them all the time. Its true. I also realize that life is never going to slow down unless I make it, and i am not about to make that happen. I also went to my first "party" of the school year on Friday. it was fun, and I enjoyed myself. I was kinda sad that some of my friends were not there to hang, but due to reasons they could not control they were not here. And get this in 4 months I will be soaking up the sun in HAWAII! yep thats right! I am so excited. Okay so I keep thinking about how the mission trip would be so cool but really, its HAWAII! and i am going to learn how to surf and I am going to swim with the fishies. It excites me! Hola :)

On the Hunt

I am on the hunt. Over this week I discovered that the school I want to go to next year only excepts 18 people. AHHH! So tonight I sat behind the computer and searched and emailed ever school in Canada (which equals to 3 other ones, two in Ontario and one in Winnipeg) asking for more information. So if I can not get the one in BC, then I am going to apply for every single other one to see if I get in. And two of them are Christian schools. One of them is a Lutheran school in Ontario, and the other one is a Mennonite school in Winnipeg. I hope that if I do not get excepted to the one in BC then I can get excepted to one of those. I hope so, but as long as I am going to school I will be happy. And get this. One of them the full year tuition, is only a grand more then one semester right now. YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Homework

After spending the day doing homework I have come to a few conclusions.
1) Writing essays ahead of time is a good thing. (yeah me!)
2) Fairy Tales are EVIL! (the original ones)
3) Listening to music for my listening quiz is fun
4) Listening to music for my listening quiz with blocked ears due to my cold is NOT fun
5) writing practice listening quizes are hard, cause you have to select the song to play on the computer, therefore you know what your playing
6) forgeting my singing books at school, therefore leaving me to transpose in a hurry on Monday is not good.
7) forgeting my singing books means, I only do warm up
8) forgeting my singing books means, my family will not tell me to stop singing, cause I am not.
9)going to the Library to find my next reading book is smart because then I don't have to buy it. But not finding out if it is checked out before I go, is not smart.
and finally
10) I feel like I did something good after a full day of homework. GO ME!
