Neal Continued

So I was at work, and I thought there were something about Neal that I forgot to add. Important things, wonderful things that needed to be said. Neal inspires me. I have been a Christian my whole life, but Neal has not, and he lets his light shine. He does it in a different way then some would, but oh boy does it shine bright! And people can identify with him, because when you see him, you dont think holy christian boy.. nope you dont, But then when you get to talking to him, it is there. He has this way. Another thing that touches me is that he really doesn't hate kids. ( I dont believe him when he says he does, I still think he loves them) And a story that I love is one when he was working with a kid with a disability. And my heart just filled with love. YEah Neal!!

okay continuation done. HOmework to do. more posts later.

Neal

Okay Folks, well I promised Neal I would write a whole post on him. (because he is going to do one on me!) And then I decided that it would be cool to do a post on all my friends. Although this may take some time, and it will probably go into the summer. And I might forget some people. (I probably will, i have lots of friends.) I am going to try. But I am starting with Neal because I am. So here it is folks all about Neal!

Neal
When I first met Neal I was a little taken back, I mean what do you say to a guy who has an interesting hair colour is wearing bright orange pants and has a ton of piercings? Well, because I was not used to it, but thought meh, he is bound to be fun. I dove right in. And a beautiful friendship began. Over last year Neal and I have shared some interesting memories. Including *spoons* and waking me up in weird and interesting ways. I took frequent naps last year in dorm. Neal has opened my eyes that beauty is in everyone, and that he is an amazing person! Did you know he is tons of fun to hang out with, and has a heart of gold. Oh Darn Neal I am breaking your cool calm shell. Neal makes me laugh in so many ways, and I have never been the same since I met him. One of my favorite memories of Neal is "jumping him" last year after christmas I was so excited to see him. And just hanging out with him. I am saddened that I never see him this year, and I feel that every time I am in guys dorm he is sleeping anyway. Another thing about Neal... he sleeps....A LOT! It makes me smile, Oh and the day that we had formal day at school (why because the boys decided) Neal looked well very good! (but sorry, not as good as Tim!) Anyway moving on.... Neal, I have some fun memories of you even this year. Trying to twirl me in the choir loft...(cough cough) And my birthday hug. (Need I say more!) But that my friends is Neal. Now I dedicate the comments to your memories of Neal... Because like I said this post is about him. Well and you can tell me if you really want me to write about you, or if you really dont want me to write about you. But MOSTLY write about Neal!
I heart you Neal!! And will miss you when I am gone!

April

Its April!! Good things happen in April.... like my birthday, and Tims birthday and the end of school! YEAH

Good Bye

I can not believe that school is almost over! I am really getting ready for it to be done, but this is my last year at Concordia! I dont want to say good bye but I have to! But I know I must move on. I have posted an article I wrote for the Blue and White! (I dont know if it got in, but meh!) I hope you enjoy it, and please continue to pray for all the students during this time!

“Good bye’s the saddest word I’ll ever hear”. Another year is coming to a close, students are rushing to finish that last paper, finish that final project, or study for that brutal final that will be there before they know it. Yet, something else sneaks up, good byes. Soon the halls of Concordia will be empty and Tegler will no longer be filled with the common chatter we hear each day. Some welcome this time with open arms, and others, well others can’t believe that it is over. This is my last year at Concordia; I am moving on and can not believe that it is over. I have so many fond memories of this school, every hall way and many class rooms hold special memories for me. I will never forget karaoke in Tegler, so loud that even if you wanted class you couldn’t, mission trips and all the bonds mad from them. I will never forget “visiting” various offices just to say hi, and have people come to just say hi to me. I will always remember discussions with certain Profs, and striving to do my best. But most importantly I will always have a special place in my heart for the relationships that were formed here. People have come into my life and have changed it. I have grown in so many different ways, and when I leave Concordia, a little bit of my self is staying behind. But I must go and start the next page in my life. Good bye Concordia, God bless, I will miss you!

My very first Hymn

So, I just finished writing my hymn. And I must say it is very nice. But alas I did not write the notes, We did not have to, and will not get a lower mark if we dont, so I did not. (because i did nto want to go that crazy!) But it is worded, and I am proud. I would like to say the tune is from the song At the Name of Jesus, and the text is 2 Timothy 2:11-13 (and even better, Tim picked the text!) And now I will let you in on the words! I hope its good enough for that A!

Faithful, by Alyson Bosch
tune: At the Name of Jesus
If we should die with God, we will also live
if we always press on, His kingdom He'll give.
But if we turn our back, and push Him away
He will never leave us, He will always stay.

Yeah that is my hymn! It did not need to be super long, it just needed to work, and I think it did, I hope it did! (I dont want to transfer the notes of a different song onto manuscript paper again)
Peace!

Moving forward

So... today, I applied for Rez in Winnepeg! I am so scared!! Tim was over when I did it, and I was like I dont want to do this but I have to. And I did. Now I just have to sit back and wait. But I did find out that I can send a tape of singing over to Winnepeg and write my theory exam later! That makes me happy! But now it looks like I will be leaving on the 4th of September. (Sniffle) Pray for me please!

Auditions

Well this is it... By June 13th and 14 I have to have two contrasting songs ready and I need to study up on my theory! Because that is when i have to audition in Winnepeg.... SO NERVOUS! But I can do it, and then on to my dream of becoming a Music Therapist! YES! (who wants to come with me?)

This SUCKS

So I have had some crappy things happen to me over the year but this beats it all. Thursday I was feeling really gross at school, and thought it lack of sleep and a cold. But alas, when I woke up Friday morning, I could not talk and could barely move, so I decided to stay home. When my mom came to check on me, she told me that it sounded as if I had marbles in my mouth. So she looked into my wonderful mouth and there found the cause. (no I did not put marbles in there!) but alas I have tonsillitis! Thats right I have tonsillitis, and now I can not go and do anything. It went from bad to worse because I found out I can not leave the house till probably Sunday. (if i am better) and my fantastic day of going to see The Importance of Being Earnest, having a BBQ, and going to the Rock concert with Tim, Alison, and Fiona is dead! Its gone. Now I have been looking forward to this day FOREVER, and yet maybe I was not supposed to go. And another thing is, I can not practise singing! So... I have lessons on Monday and I have not been able to practise. It sucks it sucks it sucks!! (sorry I am ranting) and it hurts. But I know I will get better, and I am just thankful it happened this week and not in two weeks right before my show. Sigh

Hey its March!!

Its March and so many things have happened since I last posted... And you know now that I think about it, tomorrow is my one month!! (giggle!) So lets start from the beginning.... Febuary 4th I went to the opera with a most wonderful person! Anyway after that, I then went to west ed, kareoke and then Guys and Dolls with the same said wonderful person. ( I should fill you in... this wonderful person is a boy!) After that, we said good bye while I went off to Hawaii for a week. (sniff, I missed him so!!) I had a wonderful time in Hawaii and when I have pictures I will put them up here and will tell you of my trip. Although it is better to tell you in person! But then I got home, and I got to see my friends and (you guessed it) that wonderful person. Where we went public! (well we had already went public, but... choir, old ladies, gossip you know the story!) And so tomorrow is one month from the day we went out! If you have not picked up on this, I, Alyson am no longer a single girl! There is a wonderful boy in my life and I could not be happier, and I thank God for him everyday!

The Joys of A Waiting Room

So yesterday I decided to try stair diving. Well it did not end gracefully. Nope in fact it ended painfully! But I have some nice friends and they sat me down, but then I almost fainted and threw up. Gross!!!! Anyway my wonderful friend Nessa took me to the Medi center were we waited not one, not two but three hours. Oh wow it was boring and she and I were starting to go nuts, crazy , insane. We looked at each others wallets, and we diagnosed me, and we pulled a little "street car named desire" (giggle) and then we made a bed out of chairs. Well, the doctor looked at it, told me that if I wanted my sheet signed and a doctors note, all together it would cost $160 (150 for the sheet signing thing and 10 for the note) I said nope, and then she told me I needed xrays, so we went there, and then I got my xrays.. (the technision asked if I was drunk when I fell down the stairs, I said no, I had just finished a physics exam, and he was like well maybe you should go and get drunk now... giggle) anyway so then we went back to the doctors. Both of us limping, (Nessa had a sympathy limp) And found out I just sprained my ankle. But wait that is not all the doctor also said "this bone is normally supposed to be closer to this bone, but I guess you were born like that!" (YES I AM DEFORMED!!!) Anyway it has felt better today, but I think that is because I listened to the doctor and stayed off of it almost all day, but it still hurts. Although I dont have as big as a limp today. YES!!!

On The Town

What do you get when you put 15 people together, 10 of them drama kids? A night one the town!!
Okay there was a really lousy pun but it was fun! So yesterday I had plans to go home and do homework without distraction... :) But alas, my friends told me I needed to go and see this play. I relented, thats right I did, it did not take very long (only about two hours) and I had a great time! We went to my friend Allisons house(thats right Allison!) first for appetizers and desserts, and oh the fun we had there. Let me just tell you, that if you want a good laugh you should take us drama people anywhere. I was privlaged to answer Allisons phone and buzz people into her apartment. There was a phone call that was not buzzing worthy, and I was like" hello this is Alyson... " the guy then responded "Are you sure this is Allison, you sound different" and then the rest of the convo went like this...
" Yes I am quite sure, in fact its what my mom has called me my whole life.."
"wierd, anyway.... is (allisons roomate) there"
"I dont know, I dont think so, can I give a message" (thats right GIVE)
"No thats okay, hey Allison do you know if....?"
"Oh maybe I should confess, I am ALYSON, not Allison, don't you think its wierd that you are talking to an ALYSON, when its ALLISONS house/"
"HUH!!!!!!!"
"I dont belong here, I am a friend of the other Allison... the one who lives here"
"Oh yeah thats wierd...dramatic pause can I talk to that Allison"
"Oh of course, why didnt you say so! have a nice night.."
And the conversation is over. it was fantastic.
So then after that convo, we just had some very funny laughs, because let me tell you when you have drama students out number the non drama students (okay I lied when you put a drama student anywhere) things can get a little (or a lot) crazy!!
From Allisons house we went to go see the play "On The Town!" So funny!!! So Good!!! And I could totally see our school do it. One of the girls in our group made it a goal for us each to make a friend and tell them about our plays. so I did, I made two... They must have known we were drama kids by the way we were acting. (although during the play we all behaved dont worry!) But during intermission and then when it was over we did mention "the Importance of Being Earnest" and "Cherry Coke" that concordia was doing.. and that "Cherry Coke was written by Concordia sudents, and if people wanted to go and see a wonderful play just like this one they should go to Concordia on this and this day.... Giggle it was so fun!! And the ushers were like you must be drama kids cause I feel his energy... that really only Dram people have. (its true we do give off this energy, I know when drama people are coming to see OUR shows.) Anyway so that was a great night!! It was fun, and tonight is bound to be grand also.... Opera here I come!!

ps. Everyone should come to see "Importance of Being Earnest" and Concordias big huge band concert (two famous christain bands, and then two school based bands) on March 11th... Tickets on sale soon, if you want more info.. talk to me!!!! Oh and CHerry COke is March 30, 31 and April 1st... and you HAVE to come to that one, cause I AM IN IT!!!!!!
